Heartland Health & Wellness Fund provides health benefits and eligibility information to plan participants and their families. Participants have access to information on claims status, enrollment, appeals, pension, wellness resources and retiree plans. The main function of Heartland’s office is to process and make payment on PPO medical, dental, vision and sick leave claims.
Heartland is required under the Federal Health Insurance Portability Act of 1996, known as HIPAA, to take reasonable steps to ensure the privacy of individually identifiable health information. All transactions are processed in a secure environment to protect the confidentiality of plan participants and their families.
